Anthony Furnari, 85, of Andover, MA, has peacefully passed away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.  He was born in Lawrence, MA, on September 11, 1934, the son of Louis Furnari and Frances (DeGenti) Furnari.  Anthony was raised and educated in North Andover, MA.

As a builder and foreman in construction, Anthony once did some work for the tv performer, Rex Trailer. Upon retirement, he worked as a security officer. He loved going to the shooting range for target practice, playing the guitar, gardening, and enjoyed antique cars, especially his 1963 Lincoln Continental. Tony, as he was known, enjoyed Country and Western music, sightseeing, Abbott and Costello, and his former pet groundhog, Slow Poke.

Anthony was predeceased by his wife of thirty-one years, Nancy (Ouellette) Furnari. Family members include his daughter, Jannell Walsh and her husband, Edward; as well as his step-sons, Paul G. Caruso, Robert S. Caruso and wife Julie Caruso, and Darren T. Caruso and wife Bonnie Caruso. Anthony leaves behind four grandchildren, Eric Kelley, Natalie Frances and her husband Steve, Sarah Fimbel and her husband Jon, and Keith Kelley; and a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Taylor. He also leaves behind his sister, Lucy Aziz of North Andover and his brother, Sam Furnari of Florida.

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID-19 SITUATION ONLY 25 PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED IN THE FUNERAL HOME AT ANY ONE TIME.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, March 22, 2020, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen.
