Anthony DelliColli

August 1, 1951 ~ August 26, 2021 (age 70) 70 Years Old

Tribute

Anthony “Tony” DelliColli, 70, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2021, at High Pointe House in Haverhill after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Tony was born on August 1, 1951 in Montreal, Canada to Palmerino and the late Cecilia DelliColli. He moved to the United States in 1963, where he later became a citizen.

Tony graduated from Tenney High School and went on to work in construction. Later, he was employed at Western Electric, which became Lucent Technologies. He attended night school while working to obtain his plumbing degree. Eventually he became the facilities inspector at Lucent, where he retired in 2001 after 23 years of service. After retirement, he continued to do plumbing and many of his customers became his friends. Almost everywhere he went, he was sure to know someone he did plumbing for.

He enjoyed golfing with his good buddy Johnny, playing Bocce, spending time at his summer cottage at Lake Winnipesaukee, but the best days he ever had were spent with “his girls,” his two loving granddaughters, Ava and Olivia. Whether it was attending their gymnastics meets, school events, or spending “Papa” time with them, he was his happiest. He loved his family time, especially Sunday dinners, watching Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox, and his beloved Montreal Canadians, and all the parties, especially Christmas Eve that he and his wife would host.

Tony will be deeply missed and is survived by his wife of 47 years, Debra; two wonderful daughters, Dina DelliColli of Methuen and Lori, wife of Kris Harrington of Windham, NH; and his precious granddaughters, Ava and Olivia Harrington. He also leaves his father, Palmerino DelliColli; two sisters, Norma, wife of Richard Grant of Beverly, MA and Gina DelliColli of Methuen; two brothers-in-law, Michael and wife Maureen Fillipon and Robert and wife MaryEllen Fillipon; many cousins here, in Canada and Italy, many nieces and nephews; and very close friends, John and Gina Silvio.

Due to Covid restrictions, the family asks that you respect their decision to keep the funeral and burial private. Services will be at Cataudella Funeral Home. There will be a funeral mass and a burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Jill Allen and the wonderful team of doctors, nurses and aides at Mass General Hospital who gave such great care to Tony. Donations can be sent to Psychological Center (which includes Daybreak Shelter, Pegasus House, and Women’s View) 11 Union Street, Lawrence, MA 01840.
