Anthony M. Cestrone

Anthony M. “Tony” Cestrone, 85, a lifelong resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Carmela J. “Millie” Cestrone with whom he shared sixty-four wonderful years in marriage.

Born, raised, and educated in Lawrence, Tony was the only son of the late Carmine and Anna R. (Augeri) Cestrone. Shortly after graduating from Lawrence High School, Tony, a hardworking man, began working for Frank C. Meyers Printing, where he enjoyed a forty-five year career.

Tony first met Millie in the mid-1950s and she soon was his high school sweetheart, and just a few years later the couple was married and settled in Lawrence where they started their family.

Very social and upbeat, Tony will most be remembered by those who knew him for his favorite saying “Have Fun,” since he was such a happy and positive person, it seemed only natural for him to wish everyone a good day.

He enjoyed his many trips with family and friends to the area casinos, which lost of all, were an opportunity to be surrounded by those he loved. In his free time, he enjoyed watching baseball and football, and early on in his life, he took a liking to photography. He was dedicated to his family and enjoyed opportunities to host get-togethers with family and friends.

In addition to his wife Millie, his son, Michael Cestrone of Greenville, SC survives Tony.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, November 5, 2021, between the hours of 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral mass will be celebrated for Tony on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex Street, Lawrence. Interment will follow in St. Mary – Immaculate conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
