Tribute

Ann B. (Comerford) Foderaro, 87, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully January 6, 2022, at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center after a period of declining health.

Born in Lawrence on June 11, 1934, Ann was the oldest daughter of the late Joseph E. and Mary (Amrich) Comerford. She attended the Tarbox Grammar School and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1952. Ann was employed at Lawrence Maid Footwear for many years as well as Raytheon. She would go on to attend Merrimack College in the evenings and accepted a full-time job with New England Telephone in 1976 and retired from there in 1996.

Ann spent many summers at Salisbury Beach and loved to travel. She and Henry enjoyed cruises with longtime family friends as well as trips to Italy and abroad. Nothing was more important to Ann than her grandchildren. She always attended the many activities and sporting events they participated in and spoiled them with shopping trips.

A devout Catholic and a long-time parishioner of St. Monica Parish in Methuen, Ann dedicated much of her time. She was deeply devoted to the Blessed Mother and was a regular attendee at Novena. In retirement, she enjoyed attending bible study classes as a way to deepen her faith and understanding of God’s role in her life. Her faith would take her to Jerusalem and Medugorje numerous times and always had a profound impact on her, returning with a renewed spirit and passion. Her life was one of compassion, generosity and love. Ann lived a long and fulfilling Christian life. She will be greatly missed by all.

Ann is survived by her sons, Steven and his wife Sheila, David and his wife Katherine all of Methuen, and John Donovan of Vero Beach FL; her cherished grandchildren, Kaylee, Olivia, Anthony, Gabriella and Nicholas; her sisters, Mary (Donaldson) of Stuart, FL, Joan (McGravey) and Patricia (Conte) of Methuen; brother, John “Jackie” Comerford of Methuen; and sister-in-law, Patricia Comerford. She leaves many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Ann is predeceased by her husband, Henry J. Foderaro, her son, Mark H. Foderaro and her brother, Joseph Comerford.

The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Mary Immaculate and the many family and friends who were regular visitors of Ann’s over the last years. They couldn’t be more grateful to all of you.
