Anita M. (Laliberty) Gugliuzza, 97, of Methuen, MA and Lawrence, MA, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Desrochers) Laliberty.
Raised in Lawrence, Anita attended St. Ann’s School. She worked for many years as an analyst for Gibco Company in Lawrence. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anita was predeceased by her beloved husband, James V. Gugliuzza; cherished daughter, Claire Casale; and dear siblings, Edward, Harvey, Leo, Rene, Bea, and Walter.
She is survived by her son, James Gugliuzza and his wife Diane of Methuen; sister, Doris Bernadini of Lawrence; grandchildren, Jada Carlson and her husband Jim, Jamie Gugliuzza, Kim Gugliuzza, Cheryl Dion, Robin Coleman and her husband Mike, Stephanie Dondero, and Bill Casale; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Darren, Jessica, Payton, Lydia, Liam, and Brett; dear friend, Domenic Mangano of North Andover; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the nurses at Nevins Home for their loving care.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Thursday morning, December 19, 2019 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack Street in Methuen. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
