Angelina M. "Angie" (Ragonese) Casale, 95, of Methuen, MA, passed away quietly in her home with her daughter Rosemary by her side on the evening of Saturday, August 29, 2020. She was the wife of the late Peter P. Casale.

The daughter of Antonio C. and Maria (Benante) Ragonese, Angelina was born and raised in Lawrence, MA and although she lived in Methuen for over the last 50 years, she fondly spoke of all her times on Union St. and the many things she did as a child.

While living on Cochrane Circle in Methuen, she was known as the woman who walked everywhere, but if you were lucky enough to be welcomed into her home, you knew her real talent was cooking. From spinach pies and Scatchada to Totos at Christmas-time, she welcomed any chance to share her cuisine. She was always dancing and embraced any adventures her family took her on, such as the annual trip to see Santa on the Polar Express in North Conway. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and making people laugh. She was born on Halloween and never let an opportunity pass to tell anyone. The lessons she shared were passed down three generations and her legacy remains strong. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Angelina was predeceased by her brothers, Dominic and Steven Ragonese, and sister, Carmella DeCesare.

She will be missed and survived by her two loving daughters, Rosemary Casale of Methuen and Patricia Traficante of Salem, NH; son-in-law, Michael Traficante of Amesbury, MA; granddaughter, Laura Frangipane and her husband, John, and their children, Lina and Troy of Derry, NH. 

Angleina’s family would like express their gratitude to the nurses, aides, social workers, chaplain and doctor of Merrimack Valley Hospice.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Angelina’s family between 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2020, at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 4, 2020, at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex Street, Lawrence, with interment following at St. Mary–Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
