Angela M. Corso

Angela Marie Corso of Methuen passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, February 10, 2020, at Sutton Hill Nursing Home in North Andover after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

A native of Lawrence, Angela was the daughter of the late Jennie and Joseph Cammarata and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She was employed for many years at Bronzetti’s and then at Polo in Lawrence, retiring as a supervisor in 1997. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union, a parishioner of Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, and a member of St. Rita’s Sodality.

Nothing was more important to Angela than her family and her extensive group of lifelong friends. An amazing cook, all who walked through her door had to sit down and have a bite to eat, a glass of wine, and bathe in her kindness and love. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and loved her adventures on cruises and vacations with her partner, Walter Chipman of Melrose. She will be sorely missed by all of us who were lucky enough to call her mother, aunt, or friend.

Angela is survived by her loving daughter, Lucille Corso and her partner, Banca Wales, both of East Hampstead, NH and her son, Paul Corso of Marlborough, MA. She was also blessed by the love of numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Joseph Corso of Derry, NH and her older sisters, Mary Ferrara, Rosalie DiPietro, and Josephine Salamanca, all of Methuen.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 1:00-4:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A prayer service will follow immediately at 4:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. A private burial service will be held at a later date.
