Ana J. Luna Velazquez

Ana Julia Luna Velazquez, 58, of Methuen, MA, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Constanza, Dominican Republic on April 27, 1963, Ana was the daughter of the late Agustine Luna and Salome (Lora) Luna. She was raised in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States to begin her life here. Ana owned and operated her own function hall business. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she adored her family and loved spending time with them. She also loved to fish, visit yard sales, and shop with her husband. Ana was dedicated to helping others and volunteering her time while raising her four children, anyone could count on her. She also enjoyed traveling with her family and taking many pictures to capture the moment.

Ana will be deeply missed and is survived by her husband, Michael Velazquez; children, Mabel Valenzuela of Haverhill, MA, Luis Martinez of Seattle, WA, Angel Martinez of Manchester, NH, and Stephanie Martinez of Manchester, NH; stepson, Omar Velazquez of Windham, ME; siblings, Juan Luna of the Dominican Republic, Nelly Luna of the Dominican Republic, Gilberto Luna of New Jersey, Damaris Luna and her husband Edgar Gomez, of Salem, NH, Ana Luisa Luna of the Dominican Republic, Amparo Luna of the Dominican Republic, and Ysabel Luna of the Dominican Republic; grandchildren, Monte, Jaden, Rafael, Romeo, Ana, Jensy, Landon, Lincoln, Roman, Alondra, Amaiya, and Ethan; her God-daughter, Carolina De la Cruz; niece, Carmen Gonzalez; and nephew, Jairon Garcia. She will also be missed by many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ana’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation hours on Friday, July 9, 2021, between the hours of 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 10, 2021. Interment will follow in St. Mary – Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
