Amparo Gonzalez

Amparo Gonzalez, 82, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband, Andres Valasquez. Born in Puerto Rico on October 4, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Julio and Julia (Rodriguez) Gonzalez.

Amparo wore her heart on her sleeve, she welcomed and cared deeply for everyone she knew. Her presence filled up the room with warmth and love. After many years working as a skilled seamstress, she dedicated the rest of her life shaping and enriching the lives of her grandchildren. She loved food, she loved cooking with her daughter, she enjoyed singing and scenic walks during autumn afternoons. Her eternal laugh, smile, and spirit lives within us and our memories forever.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel immediately following visitation at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
