On March 25, 2018, Alvera “Vera” (Campiola) Tomaselli passed peacefully at the age of 100. Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of Antonio and Rosina (Antuono) Campiola and the wife of the late John Tomaselli.
Educated in Lawrence, Vera worked in the Lawrence Mills for many years. She retired from Dasa Corporation in 1976. In her free time, she loved to walk. She and her late sister, Carmela Fascione, would walk daily throughout the streets of Lawrence and Methuen. She was a very passionate Red Sox fan and also liked to bowl. Vera worshiped at Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence and she was a member of St. Rita’s Sodality there, as were her mother and sisters.
Vera was predeceased by her husband, John and their beloved son, John, Jr.; her sisters and brothers, Mary Ferraro, Philomena Nardone, Margaret Letizio, Anne DePippo, Carmela Fascione, Nicholas, Joseph and Eugene Campiola.
She leaves behind her son, Robert Tomaselli of Methuen and his wife, Sharon; grandson, Michael Tomaselli of Salem, NH; as well as several caring nieces and nephews; and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Friday, April 6, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will take place at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence on Saturday, April 7th at 10:00 AM with her burial immediately thereafter in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
