Altagracia M. Checo

Altagracia M. Checo, 73, of Methuen passed away August 15, 2019 at Holy Family Hospital.  Born in San Jose de Las Matas, Santiago, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Leovigildo and Maria (Herrera) Checo.

Mrs. Checo was raised and educated in the Dominican Republic.  She lived most of her life in the Dominican Republic before coming to the United States to live with her son.  She enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Carlos Jaquez and his wife Yomayra of Methuen; grandchildren, Aaron and Lucas; sisters, Luisa, Mercedes, Maria, Lilia, Hilda, Alejandrina, Luz Angela, Maria de la Cruz and Iris; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, August 19, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen.  Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 300 Haverhill Street in Lawrence.  Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
