Allen R. Incollingo
February 22, 1952 ~ March 6, 2023 (age 71) 71 Years Old
Allen Ray Incollingo, age 71, passed away on March 6, 2023 after a long illness. He was born, raised and lived his entire life on the same street in Methuen, MA.
He attended Pleasant Valley Grammar School, Tenney Middle, and graduated from Tenney High in 1970. He received an Associates Degree in Business from Northern Essex Community College. In his youth, Allen was a talented equestrian and competed along with his brother Rick in hundreds of competitions, winning just as many trophies. He began his working career at Demoulas in Salem, NH, and Grand Union in Methuen. He went on to work at his father’s custom men’s clothing store, Paparella’s of Malden, MA. During his time there, he became President of the Malden Chamber of Commerce. After its closing, he worked at several men’s clothing stores, including Martini Karl, Kap’s of Burlington and Andover, and Neiman Marcus of Boston.
Allen enjoyed all kinds of music, especially Big Band and Swing. He also was a great dancer. He enjoyed taking care of his home, especially gardening. Allen had an infectious personality and sense of humor. He always made you laugh! Sadly, in 2021, he lost his ability to speak and we all lost the man that we knew so well. He suffered and heroically fought through a long, devastating illness.
Allen is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda (Pellegrino) Incollingo; sons, Allen Incollingo, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Rye Beach, NH, and Christopher Incollingo and his wife Andrea of Methuen, MA; the loves of his life, his seven grandchildren; Ariana, Adam, Bryan, Amya, Aliyah, Stephen, and Julian. He also leaves his sister, Marjorie Furlong of Jackson, NH, and his brother, Richard Incollingo and his wife Caryn of Atkinson, NH.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Raymond and Winifred (Richards) Incollingo, and his brother, Robert Incollingo, formerly of Oakland, CA. He leaves brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and an abundance of friends.
In lieu of flowers and gifts of sympathy, the family requests that you share a story of a time that Allen made you laugh.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA.
