Alfio Greco

Alfio Greco, 71, of Methuen, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Holy Family Hospital after a bout with COVID-19.  

He was born July 8, 1949, in Biancavilla, Sicily, and at the age of six moved to Rome, Italy, where he was raised and educated. He came to the United States in 1982 and married his childhood sweetheart, Maria (Cunsolo) Greco. He was a devoted husband and father who was loving, kind and always had a smile.

Alfio loved his family, gardening and for the past three years he worked at Canobie Lake Park where he enjoyed working alongside his coworkers, especially Mr. Mike, Danny, Ton and many others.  He worked in the family business, Cunsolo Construction Corporation for 26 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Maria (Bonanno) Greco; in-laws, Vito and Giuseppina Cunsolo; and brother-in-law, Giuseppe Sangiorgio. He is survived by his wife, Maria of 38 years, his sons, Paul and Michael Greco; sister, Silvana; and brother, Placidino Greco of Italy; sisters-in law, Rosetta Sangiorgio, Tina Delmonte, Francene Mailloux and her husband Andrew; brother-in law, Alfred Cunsolo and his wife Eileen; nieces and  nephews, Michael Sangiorgio and his wife April, David and his wife Jessica Sangiorgio, Sal, Mark, Robert Delmonte, Chris and his wife Ariana Delmonte, Gina Banks and her husband Jaime, Nicole Mailloux, and Jonathan and his wife Teresa Mailloux; grandnieces and nephew, Rihanna, Thalia and Aaliyah Delmonte, Greyson, and Scarlett  Sangiorgio; aunt, Connie Curro of  West Newbury; and many uncles, aunts and cousins here and in Italy. He will be missed by extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Holy Family Hospital ICU for the care given to Alfio and the kindness shown to his family.

At the family’s request all services will be private. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Lung Association at lung.org or mail to 1661 Worcester Road, Unit 301, Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements are by Cataudella Funeral Home, Methuen.
