Aileen R. Neve

Aileen R. (Raineri) Neve, 89, of Methuen, MA, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019.  Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Florence (Sarcione) Raineri. 

Aileen was raised in Lawrence and attended Lawrence schools.  She worked as an inspector for Western Electric and Raytheon Corporation.  She was a member of St. Lucy Church.  Aileen loved playing BINGO at the Sons of Italy and also enjoyed baking.  She was best known for her toll house cookies.

She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony J. Neve; her son, Anthony J. “Butch” Neve; and her brothers, Eugene “Gus” Raineri and John Raineri.

Aileen is survived by her children, Thomas E. Neve of West Newbury, MA, Leslie A. Neve of Methuen, her daughter-in-law, Karen A. Neve of West Newbury, MA, and Debra Brown and her husband Edward Brown. She also leaves five loving grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, October 10, 2019, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St. in Methuen.  Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack St. in Methuen.  Those who prefer may make donations in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.st.jude.org.
