A. William “Bill” Kochanczyk, of North Andover, MA passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 after bravely battling a lengthy illness. He was 80 years young.
Bill pursued careers at Boston's Museum of Science, Northeastern University, and Reading Public Schools.
He enjoyed classical music, refereeing soccer, Polish food, horse racing, fried oysters, Roy Orbison, crossword puzzles, Doo Wop, and Jeopardy.
Bill was brilliant; a literal encyclopedia with a built-in compass. And loved talking 'science' with his granddaughter, Mia. If Bill were on the periodic table he'd be 'Au' (gold)!
He was predeceased by his parents, Stella and Bill Kochanczyk. He leaves his wife, the “Fabulous” Phyllis; daughters, Jill and Kristin; granddaughter, Mia; sister-in-law and her husband, Ann and Jocko Arcidiacono; and many loving friends and family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours from 9:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be private at the request of the family.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation on Bill's behalf to Boston Children's Hospital or the Jimmy Fund.
