We first met Walter when he bought Sorrento Lobster from City Fish Market, where we both worked. Walter was more then an employer, he was a good friend. Even after we not longer worked for him we remained close. Talking almost weekly and always on holidays.
While Walter was a tough business man one day, complaining about the phone bill being too high, the next day we have known him to to pay a sick employees wages and insurance for a full year. Walter was a kind, generous and intelligent man who loved his friends and family and especially his girls who he talked about often.
Our lives were made better by knowing and being Walter's friends and we miss him and will never forget him.

Jr. was a long long time friend of my dads - they talked for hours on the phone every night!! A wonderful man - warm thoughts to his family and friends!

I only learned of Walter's passing an hour ago through a mutual friend. I spoke with him on the phone about a week ago, talking lobster prices and other little things. He was in bed with a cold but called me back when he heard I'd phoned. My family has known him for 40 years, and he was always helpful in any way he could be. Truly a kind and generous spirit, with a twinkle in his eye-his name was Walter, but he'll always be "Junior Kalil" to the folks along the seacoast who knew him from the old days.
