Thomas A. Verzi

Thomas A. “Tom” Verzi, 82, of Methuen, MA, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Nevins Nursing Home and Rehab Center. He was born on May 9, 1941, and was the son of the late Gaetano “Tom” and Irene (Bochicchio) Verzi.

Born in Lawrence, MA, Tom attended Central Catholic, where he met and dated the love of his life, Dorothea. He continued his education at Suffolk University where he received his Bachelors in accounting. Tom and Dorothea got married on September 1, 1963, and raised their family in Methuen. He enjoyed spending time with his family more than anything, he loved to garden, travel, and cook for his loved ones.

Tom is pre-deceased by his beloved son, Thomas Verzi.

Tom will be dearly missed and is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Dorothea (Parenti) Verzi; his loving son, John T. Verzi and his wife Michelle; his six grandchildren, Alicia, Tyler, Brittni, Alex, Samantha, and Tommy; as well as by his great-grandsons, Ryan, Dylan, Andrew, Alex, Mason, and Jack.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 1:00 PM at St. Lucy Parish, 254 Merrimack Street, Methuen. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
