While in the USNG, he also worked in the insurance field and as a teacher with Jobs for Bay State Grads at Haverhill High School. Bob spent his time on the board of directors for the Somerville Babe Ruth League and as the President of Somerville Senior Babe Ruth League. He was previously a part-time bartender and member of Daly’s and the Dewy Club in Methuen where he enjoyed talking and watching sports with friends.

Bob’s dogs, especially BJ (Bailey Junior) held a special place in his heart and managed to go to Saratoga, NY with him for 16 years. He enjoyed watching all the New England sports teams and spending time with his friends watching horse racing at Saratoga Racetrack in NY and The Brook in Seabrook, NH. He enjoyed every summer meeting up with friends in Saratoga, NY. Bob’s illnesses did not stop him from traveling as he enjoyed spending time with Sheila and going to multiple Caribbean islands, going on several cruises, and trips to Las Vegas.

Bob’s family would like to express a sincere thank you to Whittier Rehab Outpatient Department, especially Sandy, for all the fantastic help received by Bob and to High Pointe Hospice House for the wonderful care they gave him.
