Richard A. Landry

Richard A. Landry, 79, of Methuen, MA, passed away at home on Friday, June 11, 2021, after a period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Eleanor Landry, who passed away on April 29, 2020.

Born, raised, and educated in Lawrence, Richard was the son of the late Wilfred and Rachael (LaRoche) Landry. He met his sweetheart, Eleanor, and they eventually married and settled in Lawrence, MA, before moving their family to Methuen.

Richard enjoyed a long career as a welder and if there was anything that needed welding he was the right man for the job. It was his passion. He worked for Brox Construction and Torromeo Industries as a welder for many years before he retired. Even in retirement, he continued to use his welding skills and helped numerous friends and relatives with different projects.

A loving father, Richard was always there for his family. He enjoyed time spent with each of them as well as his grandchildren. He enjoyed working on projects around the house and anything where he was working with his hands. After a long day's work Richard loved to sit down and enjoy a good sub, always one of his favorite meals.

He is survived by his children, Theresa Bies of Methuen, Sean Landry and his wife Stephanie of Methuen, Richard Landry and his longtime companion Linda of Hawaii; grandchildren, Heather Bies, Alexandriana, and Alyssianna Landry. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Richard was predeceased by his sister, Claire Vandorean.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours for Richard and Eleanor on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
