Pauline Evelyn (Hines) Paris, a lifelong resident of Methuen, passed away peacefully Saturday evening surrounded by her family. Pauline was a graduate of Searles High School and was a talented seamstress. She owned and operated Seamstress at Work in Methuen.
She and her late husband Paul settled in the Pleasant Valley area of Methuen where they raised ten children. She was a devout mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Pauline was predeceased by her loving husband, Paul J. Paris.
She is survived by her children: Paul Paris, Jr. and his wife Isabelle Gannon of Methuen, Donna Shaw and her husband Richard of Kingston, NH, Cindy Desrocher and her husband Ron of Methuen, Greg Paris and his wife Lisa of Derry, NH, Cathy Martin of Methuen, Paula Welch of Methuen, Janet Paris and David Moore of Salem, NH, Roberta Tomacchio and her husband Jim of Methuen, Jeffrey Paris and his wife Colleen of Haverhill, and Crystal Brown and her husband Michael of Methuen; and her sister, Ruth Lentini of Wilmington. She also leaves 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Pauline’s memory to the Spectrum Adult Day Health Program, 1820 Turnpike St., N. Andover, MA 01844 or the Berkeley Nursing Center, 150 Berkeley St., Lawrence, MA 01841.
