Patricia A. Traniello

Patricia A. ”Patsy” (Caffrey) Traniello, 81, of Derry, NH passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. She was born in Lawrence was the daughter of Laurence Caffrey and Ann (Greka) Caffrey, and was the widow of John F. Walsh.

Pat was raised and educated in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School’s class of 1954. She worked at Bon Secours Hospital for many years as a nurse’s aide on the pediatric floor while raising her family. She then was employed at Wang Labs on the manufacturing floor then moving on to customer relations for Wang, until it closed. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting along with attending stock car races at Hudson, Pine and Star speedway. Pat was also a football fanatic and an avid Patriots fan. She spent many weekends prepping for the game on Sunday. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren over the years. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Pat is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Cosmo L. Traniello of Derry; sons, John M. Walsh, and his wife Sharon of Plaistow, NH, William B. Walsh and his companion, Shirley Peaslee of Derry, NH, and David L. Walsh and his wife, Mary Ann of East Bridgewater, MA; her seven cherished grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pat also leaves her brother, Laurence Caffrey and his wife Gerry of Methuen; and several nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her daughter, Jean Marie Labreque and her sister, Claire Gervais.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 11 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel/St. Theresa's Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen.
