Michael A. Tiberio, 74, of Methuen passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill. He was the son of Alexander and Caroline (Fiato). Michael was born and raised in Methuen and attended local schools. He was married to the late Joyce (Tilley) Tiberio.
Michael was a Deputy for the Middlesex County Sheriff Department for 20 years and enjoyed racing at Pines Speedway, Star Speedway, and Hudson Speedway. He was an avid golfer in his retirement. Michael enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and playing cards with his dear friends for the last 50 years.
Michael is survived by his son, Michael and his wife Kate of North Reading; brother, Joseph and his wife Linda of Berwick, ME; and two grandsons, Jake and Zack Tiberio.
Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend visiting hours Monday, October 23, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations in Michael’s memory be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Reardon Labs, Department of Neuro-Oncology, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.
