Michael H. Deghlaoui, 82, of Lawrence passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the High Pointe House in Haverhill with his family by his side. He was born in Lebanon and was the son of the late Hanna and Madeha (Akel) Deghlaoui.
Mr. Deghlaoui was raised and educated in Lebanon and came to the United States in 1970. He lived in Boston, Lowell, and settled in Lawrence with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Almaz (Chikhany) Deghlaoui.
Mr. Deghlaoui is survived by his children, George of Lawrence, Tony and his wife Tania of Methuen, Eli and his wife Eleanor of North Andover, Micheline Elia and her husband Joseph of Haverhill, and Jocelyne Deglaoui of Lawrence; his siblings, Fariz Deghlaoui of Canada, Bahjat Deghlaoui of Lebanon, Nadia Dalje and Aida Artinian both of Lebanon; grandchildren, Shady, Simone, Steven, Michael, Amanda, Samantha, Joseph, Elie, and Angela. There are also many nieces and nephews he leaves behind.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 21, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Melkite Church, 241 Hampshire St., Lawrence. Burial will follow at the United Lebanese Cemetery in Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to St. Joseph’s Building Fund or Scholarship Fund, 241 Hampshire St., Lawrence, MA 01840.
