Maria J. Buglione

Maria J. Buglione, 95, of Methuen passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence. Born in Rionero in Vulture, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Battistina (Iannone) Buglione.

Ms. Buglione was raised and educated in Italy and settled in Lawrence in 1946. She was a seamstress for many years. She loved to travel, attend musical shows, sew, cook, and mostly enjoyed dinners with her family. Being surrounded by her two nieces and great-niece/nephew is what made her most happy. She was also a member of St. Rita’s Sodality.

Maria was predeceased by her beloved brother, former State Representative, Nicolas Buglione; and step-brother, Christopher Ruggiero.

She is survived by her nieces, Suzanne Buglione and her partner, Brian Donahue of Fall River, Lisa Desharnais and her partner, Robert Blomgren of Methuen; great-nephew, Andre Desharnais of Methuen; great-niece, Arianna Desharnais of Methuen.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 10:30-12:30 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will follow at 1:00 PM at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
