Linda J. (Riccio) Caron, 73, of Methuen passed away peacefully on Saturday February 11, 2017 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Angelo Riccio and Frances (Cozzone) Riccio and was the widow of John Caron.
She was raised and educated in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She worked as a clerk at the Internal Revenue Service Andover for many years and retired in 1997. Her family was very important to her and spending time with her grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. Linda was known for her famous crazy chocolate cakes she would make for special occasions. Linda was a strong woman surviving cancer and her battle with diabetes which took a toll on her over the years.
She is survived by her loving children Michelle Caron-DiPietro and Anthony DiPietro of Methuen, Patricia Terreault and her husband John, Jr. of Salem, NH, and Lisa Marie Caron and her husband Michael of Haverhill, and her 7 cherished grandchildren. She also leaves her brother Anthony Riccio of Plaistow, NH and her sister Deanna Desharnais of Methuen, and many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her brothers Mario Riccio, Domenic Riccio, her sisters Marie Petrosino, and Phyllis Rabito.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Tuesday February 14, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126, Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday February 15, 2017 at 9 am at St. Lucy’s Church, 254 Merrimack St. Methuen. Burial will follow the services at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
