Larry Gentile

Laurence S. “Larry” Gentile, 78, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Lawrence General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 10, 1945, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Santina (Licari) Gentile.

A loving and caring man, Laurence enjoyed spending time with his family. He was always happy and had a positive attitude no matter what life threw at him. Laurence loved to cook and loved pizza and pasta. Growing up he worked at his family’s Farmers Market in Haverhill, and later in life worked at the Lawrence Eagle Tribune as the Director of Distribution for many years up until his retirement.

Along with his parents, Laurence is pre-deceased by his beloved sister, Irene Tarshi. He will be dearly missed and is survived by his loving brother, Allen Gentile, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy Parish, 254 Merrimack Street, Methuen, MA. Burial will be private.
