Joyce A. O'Connor

Joyce A. (Gearin) O’Connor, 73, of Methuen passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston with her family by her side. Joyce was born in Methuen and was the daughter of Frederick and Serena (Pulverenti) Gearin.

Joyce was raised and educated in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School class of 1961. She attended business school in Boston and worked for several companies before retiring from 3M Touch System in Methuen. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by her son, John J. O’Connor, III and his wife Susan (Landers) of Plaistow, NH; her cherished grandchildren, Felicity O’Connor of Bradford, Brittany O’Connor of Methuen, John J. O’Connor, IV of Ogunquit, ME, and Michael O’Connor and his wife Samantha of Northfield, NH.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of the visiting hours at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be private at a later date.
