John Nicoletti

John Nicoletti, 76, of Methuen and Satellite Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2017 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen with his loving family by his side. John was born in Roccamonfina, Italy and was the son of the late Luigi Nicoletti and Genoveffa (Polito) Nicoletti of Methuen.

John was raised and educated in Italy, came to this country in 1968, and settled in Lawrence. John worked for many years as a mechanic and was the head mechanic at Wonder Bread. He later owned and operated Norman’s Restaurant in Lafayette Square in Haverhill for six years. After that, he became a real estate broker and owned and operated Investment Real Estate. John loved to fish in his spare time. He also loved to work with his hands. He could build anything and built countless pieces of furniture for his family over the years. If you wanted something he would say “Don’t buy that, I’ll make it for you.” He especially loved his time in Florida where he made many new friends over the years. He was happiest sitting with his wife on the porch swing listening to Italian music. He loved it when people came to visit him in Florida and especially when his children and grandchildren were there. He will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched throughout the years. He will be sadly missed by his beloved little dog Diggity too.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Josephine (Rullo) Nicoletti of Methuen and Florida; his children, John Nicoletti and his wife Nirisa of Haverhill, Jean Nicoletti Butler and husband Tristan of Middleton, Patricia Hebert and her husband Thomas of Bradford, and Norma Nicoletti of Methuen; his cherished grandchildren, Manny, Marina, Taylor, Jose’, Gianna, Olivia, Henry, Cecilia, Liam, and Lorenzo. John also leaves his sister Teresa Mercuri of Methuen; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 11 am at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Burial will follow his services at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen
