Janice (Brochu) Lister, 79, of Methuen passed away peacefully to the Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. She was born in Methuen and was the daughter of Viola (Trull) Brochu and Phillip Brochu.
Janice was raised and educated in Methuen and was a graduate of Tenney High School. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a very family oriented person who loved having her family all together for special occasions. Janice and her husband, Norman loved to travel and vacation at York Beach, Maine. She loved to knit, play Bingo, 45s, and draw in her spare time. She was very social and outgoing, loved animals, and was very generous to the charities of her choice.
Janice is survived by her loving husband 56 years, Norman Lister; her children, Laurie Branchaud and her husband Stan Araszkiewicz of Dracut, Mark Lister and his wife Allison of Pelham, NH, and Scott Lister and his wife Gina of Hudson, NH; her six cherished grandchildren, Ryan Branchaud, Nicole Lister, Brittanie Lister, Cameron Lister, Rachael Lister, and Adam Lister; her one great-granddaughter, Emilee Lister. Janice also leaves her brother, Ronald Brochu and his wife Jean of Hingham, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen. Burial will follow the services at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
