Francis R. Dion

Francis “Frank” Dion, 69, of Haverhill passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Lawrence and was the son of the late George and Jeanette Dion.

Frank was raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. After graduation, he joined the Merchant Marines and later worked as a recruiter for the medical industry.

He enjoyed golfing and playing pool. He was an avid sports fan, especially for his beloved Celtics. He was also an active participant in social activities in his community and enjoyed his Saturdays with his friends at Hokkaido Restaurant in North Andover.

Frank was predeceased by his brother, Donald Dion.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Sandra (Grossi) Dion; son, Timothy Dion of TX; brothers, Robert Dion and his wife Ann of North Andover, Raymond Dion and his wife Barbara of Londonderry, NH and Richard Dion of Chelmsford. He also leaves two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Sammy.
