Fatima 'Tina' F. Gill

Fatima “Tina” F. Gill, 67, of Lawrence passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Sutton Hill Nursing Center with her loving family by her side. Fatima was born in Terceira, Azores and was the daughter of Manuel Gill and Albertina (Ferreira) Gill.

Tina was raised and educated in the Azores and migrated to America with her family when she was 19 years old and settled in Lawrence, MA. She went to work at Cardinal Shoe in Lawrence and later at Lawrence General Hospital in housekeeping, working her way up to a supervisor position. Tina was a longtime member of St. Peter and Paul’s Church until it closed and then became a parishioner at Corpus Christi Parish and a member of the Holy Ghost Society. She was an animal lover and welcomed any animal into her home. Family was the center of her life and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Diane G. Perry of Andover and Natalie G. Pacheco and her husband, Emanuel of Bermuda; her cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Cory, Cassidy, and Christopher. Tina also leaves her sisters, Dina Pinheiro of FL and Lucia Gill and her companion, Jose’ Medeiros of Lawrence; six nephews; and her companion of six years, Michael Milan of Lawrence. Tina was predeceased by her granddaughter, Deliha and her brother, Peter Gill.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 3 to 7 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 10 am at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence. Entombment will follow the services at St. Mary’s Mausoleum, 6 Woodland St., Methuen.
