Anthony Novello

Anthony “The Jock” Novello, 94, of Lawrence passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence. Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Josephine (Tombarello) Novello.

Mr. Novello was raised and educated in Lawrence. He worked at Rockingham Park grooming and walking horses, and retired from Tombarello’s Salvage Company, where he worked as a maintenance man. He enjoyed horse racing and trips to Foxwood’s.

Mr. Novello was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and Frank Novello; and his sister, Ann LaPlante.

He is survived by his sister, Lucy M. Hamm of Litchfield, NH; his nephew, Frank Noto of Haverhill; and many other nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 4, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
