Alfred “Fred” Viti, 92, of Methuen, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen after a brief illness. He was born in Methuen on May 5, 1925, the son of the late Vincenzo and Maria (Pavone) Viti.
Fred was a lifelong resident of Lawrence, MA having attended local schools and working in the Lawrence Mills his entire adult life. He was a homebody who enjoyed time with family, especially during the holidays. Fred also loved going for walks and fishing. He entertained his family with great fishing tales and also enjoyed watching the fisherman along the river. He was a great man to be around and will be dearly missed.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Mary (Zappala) Viti of Methuen. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Eternal Light Memorial, 23 Pond Street, Salem, NH.
