Ada Zito

February 14, 1915 ~ July 15, 2017 (age 102) 102 Years Old

Ada (Boschetto) Zito, 102, of Danvers and formerly of Lawrence, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at The New England Home for the Deaf. Ada was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of Domenic and Frances (Constanzo) Boschetto, and was the widow of Robert J. Zito.

Ada was raised and educated in Lawrence. She attended the Beverly school for the Deaf and then worked in the Everett Mills as a stitcher and later in the Wood Mills as a spinner for over fifteen years. She then stayed home to raise her daughters and later enjoyed seeing her grandchildren grow and raise their own families over the years.

The family would like to thank the loving staff at the New England Home for the Deaf for all the care and love they showed Ada over the years.

Ada is survived by her loving daughters, Mary Connor and her husband Earl of Port St. Lucie, FL, Lucy Long and her husband Chris of Las Vegas, NV, and Frances Pestana and her husband Jeffrey of Derry, NH; her eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; twent- two great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Tuesday, July 18th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126, Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 19th at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
